Department head, responsible for four multimedia
programmers working on two products:
• Electronic Young Telegraph (Daily Telegraph
(UK)) - A monthly subscription based multimedia product
for kids 8-12, delivered monthly on disk. My role ranged
right from creative conception to duplication/distribution
management with a strong hands-on programming emphasis
in Macromedia Authorware. The product was developed in
monthly cycles within hard deadline conditions. Subscriptions
grew from 4000 to 12000 during my time there.
• Interfact (World Book (USA) / Two-Can Publishing (UK) Co-production)
- This product consisted of a series of books with cover-mounted disks. Targeted
at kids 7-14, this was an educational title covering topics including Rainforests,
Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Romans, the Solar System and Oceans. The series was
produced in a number of languages. I was involved from creative conception to
distribution management with emphasis on hands-on programming as well as being
responsible for implementation of translation changes to the applications by
four programmers, with strict version control. The product was released in countries
including UK, USA, Germany and Argentina.

Produce/co-host weekly radio show with Paul
Harris, focussing on films, with interviews with actors, directors
and all types of filmmakers, film reviews and covering all
sorts of film events in Victoria. As producer, I operate the
panel live in the studio and operate audio recording equipment
for interviews on location. I ensure high sound quality and
direct timings of interviews during the show, while cueing/playing
music tracks, sponsorship announcements and pre-recorded interviews. |
